Hi there, I’m Liza (pronounced "Lee-Zah"), an artist and designer originally from Russia. Welcome to Weird Liza’s, the umbrella under which my diverse creative output rests.
My immersion in the art world began in my mother’s porcelain art studio, where I took my first steps amidst bags of raw clay and delicate, priceless sculptures. Since then, creativity has been my unwavering passion and companion.
In my fine arts and embroidery, the boundaries blur. An earring becomes not just an accessory, but a necklace or a charm. A necklace is also a small purse. A stuffed skeleton, head detached, is not just a toy, but an anxiety monster made of scraps, saving fabric, thread and other materials from landfills. These pieces defy categorization; they demand to be seen, touched, and interacted with.
